C. Thomas Ezzell, Of Counsel, was born in Paducah, Kentucky in 1966. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1992, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Tom received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1992 and served as Managing Editor of the Kentucky Law Review. Tom graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown College in 1988 and received both the Dean’s Honor Award and Outstanding Student Leader Award for that graduating class.


Mr. Ezzell has represented various business clients in complex commercial litigation for approximately 20 years, first as an Associate at Frost & Jacobs and later as a Partner at Getty, Keyser & Mayo, LLP. Now Of Counsel at Getty & Childers PLLC, Tom’s practice focuses on transfers of structured settlement payment rights and commercial litigation. He has represented numerous structured settlement purchasers and obtained approval of more than a hundred such transfers in Courts throughout Kentucky and in other states.


Mr. Ezzell has published materials for several Continuing Legal Education seminars, and has lectured on a broad range of subjects related to state and federal litigation, business formation, and non-competition covenants.
